Butterfly Party
Eric Carle's The Very Hungry Caterpillar has been a popular and well loved children's picture book ever since it was first published in 1969. This party theme uses the book as inspiration with games and activities based on the story and is most suitable for girls age 5-8.
Butterfly craft activities can include decorating large recycled cardboard butterflies with paper and fabric shapes - a unique craft that can be taken home and hung in a bedroom or used as a play puppet or toy.
With a feast of foods taken from the story, including cheese, sausages, strawberries, cup cakes and ice cream (we'll omit the tasty green leaf!) children will be refuelled for some more energetic games before heading home with a goodie bag.
